Step by step
How a RedRose job works
Step 1: Visit the showroom
Pop into 67 Poulton Street and see the carpets, flooring and beds in person. Tell us about the rooms, who uses them and your budget, and we will help you choose.
Step 2: Free home measure
Once you have chosen, we visit at a time that suits you, measure every room properly and check the subfloor, doors and thresholds.
Step 3: Clear quote
You get a fixed quote showing the flooring, underlay, fitting, any preparation and uplift and disposal. No hidden extras on the day.
Step 4: Fitting day
Our own fitters arrive when we said they would, take up and remove your old flooring, fit the new floor neatly and finish thresholds properly.
Step 5: Aftercare
We leave you with care advice for your new floor and we are only ever a phone call or a short walk away if you need us.
Getting ready
Preparing for fitting day
A few small things make fitting day quicker and smoother for everyone.
- Clear small items, ornaments and anything fragile from the room
- Empty wardrobes and drawers in rooms with heavy furniture
- Let us know about underfloor heating, pets or anything we should know
- Keep children and pets out of the room while we work
- Expect a little fluff from new carpets for the first few weeks. It is normal and fades with vacuuming

FAQs
Service questions
Do you charge for the home measure?
No. Once you have chosen your flooring in the showroom, measuring and quoting is free and there is no obligation to go ahead.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. Our fitters are part of the RedRose team. We do not hand your home to strangers.
What happens to my old flooring?
We offer uplift and disposal of your old carpet, underlay or flooring. Mention it when you book and it will be included in your quote.
Will you need to trim my doors?
Sometimes a new carpet or floor is thicker than the old one and doors need trimming to open freely. We check this at the measure so you know in advance.
