Blackpool
Do you supply and fit carpets in Blackpool?
Yes. RedRose Carpets is an independent carpet, flooring and bed shop at 67 Poulton Street, Kirkham, about ten miles from Blackpool along the M55. We do not have a shop in Blackpool, but we supply and fit carpets, stair carpets, vinyl, LVT and laminate flooring in homes across the town, from Bispham and Layton to Marton and South Shore. Choose your floor in our Kirkham showroom, where you can compare every range in person without the rush of a retail park. Once you have chosen, we visit your Blackpool home for a free measure and a fixed quote. Our own fitters, never subcontractors, do the work and take your old flooring away. We also sell beds and mattresses. Call 01772 684432.
Blackpool homes range from tall Victorian terraces and former guest houses near the town centre to the bungalows and semis of Bispham, Marton, Layton and South Shore. They all need floors that cope with sand, sea air and busy family life.
Floors that cope with life by the sea
Sand comes in on every pair of shoes in Blackpool, and it acts like sandpaper on soft floors. That is why many coastal homes have LVT or a hard wearing laminate in the hall and kitchen, with a good mat by the door, and keep soft carpet for the lounge, stairs and bedrooms.
In older houses, big rooms and high ceilings can feel cold, so a good underlay under the carpet makes a real difference to warmth and noise. We recommend the right grade for each room when we measure.
Popular jobs in Blackpool homes
- Bungalows. One level floor through the hall, kitchen and lounge, with low pile carpet in the bedrooms.
- Victorian terraces. Stair carpets, landings and large front rooms, often with uneven floors that need careful preparation.
- Flats and rental properties. Practical carpets and easy clean vinyl, with acoustic underlay where a lease requires it.
Beds and mattresses near Blackpool
As well as floors, we sell divan beds, ottoman storage beds, bed frames and mattresses that you can try in the shop. See our beds and mattresses.

FAQs
Carpets and flooring in Blackpool: your questions
How far is your shop from Blackpool?
About ten miles, roughly twenty minutes along the M55 to junction 3. We are at 67 Poulton Street, Kirkham PR4 2AJ.
Do you fit in Bispham, Marton and South Shore?
Yes. We measure and fit across Blackpool, including Bispham, Layton, Marton, Mereside, South Shore and Squires Gate.
What is the best floor for a sandy hallway?
LVT or a water resistant laminate, with a good door mat. Sand scratches and wears soft floors quickly, so keep carpet for the stairs and rooms further from the door.
Do you fit flooring in flats?
Yes. Many leases require acoustic underlay or carpet on upper floors, so check yours and let us know. We will recommend products that meet the requirement.
